“If I had to use one word to describe Sue it would be: Genuine. With her you will find someone who is both professional and warm. Not only was she friendly and easy to deal with, but she genuinely cared about us and what we were after...”

As if you haven’t got enough to think about on the big day, one thing you really need to put some thought into is music. The songs you choose to play during your ceremony needs to be considered carefully as these can really set the tone for the entire day. I recommend to all my couples that they need to have at least five song selections ready to play at significant times during the ceremony. Each of these choices need to be well-considered as your music can really enhance the mood at these special times during the ceremony.

The stages of the ceremony when music should be played are:

  • During the procession i.e. the time when the bride makes her entrance
  • During the signing of the wedding register (at least three songs here as you need to allow time for the photographer to take snaps etc.)
  • During the recessional i.e when you walk back down the aisle after I pronounce you husband and wife. A happy, upbeat song will suit the mood perfectly!

Part of the service I provide is that I will download your chosen ceremony songs to my iPod and then play them through my PA speaker via Bluetooth connection. All you need to do is let me know your song selection and find a responsible person to be in control of the ipod on the big day (this means, playing the music on cue).

More often than not, when I meet a couple I am going to marry, they haven’t really thought about their music at all. My only advice is that you need to choose music that means something to you. By choosing the songs you love, the ceremony will reflect your personalities and your love for each other.
